On Christmas Day, the Worcester County Fire Marshal's Office responded to (3) three incidents during the day. Two were for fire investigations involving a house located on Washington Street in Snow Hill and a second hosue fire on 6th Street in Pocomoke City, Maryland. The third call was to assist the Princess Anne Volunteer Fire Department and other Somerset County Public Safety Agencies with an explosive incident and hazardous materials identification. The Snow Hill fire was a house fire caused by a faulty woodstove/chimney. The Pocomoke fire was unattended food on the stove. More about these stories will be posted during the early part of next week.
