Worcester County Fire Marshal

On March 22, 2012 at approximately 16:17hrs. Snow Hill Vol. Fire Company along with units from Girdletree and Pocomoke Vol. Fire Companies were alerted for response to the Paul Jones Lumber Mill located at 324 E. Market St Snow Hill MD. First arriving units reported heavy fire in a Pole Machine Pilot House on the property. Firefighters remained on the scene for approximately 45 minutes bringing the fire under control. An investigation by this office in to the origin and cause of the fire resulted in the use of welding materials in close proximity of combustibles. There were no civilian or firefighter injuries reported as a result of the fire.
