April 11, 2012 - Second Pocomoke Barn Destroyed By Fire

The Worcester County Fire Marshal’s Office is investigating a fire which destroyed an agricultural building located in the 4500 block on Payne Road in rural Pocomoke, Maryland. The fire was reported at 7:42PM on Wednesday, April 11, 2012. Arriving firefighters found the structure fully engulfed in flames. Firefighters from the Pocomoke and Stockton Volunteer Fire Companies, in Maryland and New Church and Greenbackville Volunteer Fire Companies in Virginia responded to the alarm. The structure was not in use and a dollar damage amount has not been estimated. The fire is listed as undetermined and the investigation continues.
