19th Century Snow Hill Home Destroyed by Fire

"The Worcester County Fire Marshal’s Office is investigating a fire which totally destroyed a home located at 3615 Figgs Landing Road in Snow Hill, Maryland. The fire was reported on March 24, 2004 at approximately 23:11 hours. The owner of the dwelling, William S. Pusey, stated the home was built in the late 1800's or early 1900's. Nobody was home at the time of the fire. The fire was reported by a neighbor. Assistant Fire Chief Ray Wooten of the Snow Hill Volunteer Fire Department  was on the first arriving fire unit. Asst. Chief Wooten advised the three story dwelling was well involved upon his arrival. The Snow Hill VFD was assisted by Girdletree, Stockton, Newark, Pocomoke, and Greenbackville Volunteer Departments. Personnel remained on the scene for approximately three hours. No injuries were reported. The fire is listed as undetermined.
