FIRE RIPS THROUGH HOUSE UNDER CONSTRUCTION

"The Worcester County Fire Marshal's Office investigated a residential house fire located at 2010 Orchard Drive in Pocomoke City.

The Pocomoke City Volunteer Fire Department was dispatched to Lot 46 on Orchard Drive for a propane tank on fire. First arriving units reported heavy fire and smoke coming from the two and one half story residential home which was under construction.

Pocomoke was assisted by the Girdletree, Stockton and New Church volunteer fire departments. Additional crews from Snow Hill and Princess Anne stood by in Pocomoke while the fire was being suppressed.

The home being built by Monogram Builders of Ocean City was in the drywall stage of completion.

The fire is listed as undetermined.

Damages are estimated at over $200,000.
