“Two Students Charged In Pocomoke Middle School Fire”
“Two Pocomoke Middle School students have been charged with Arson for setting a fire in a bathroom at their school. According to County Fire Marshal Jeff McMahon, the Pocomoke and Stockton Volunteer Fire Companies were dispatched to a report of smoke in the Pocomoke Middle School, located at 800 Eight Street in Pocomoke City at 10:28 A.M. on Tuesday, October 3, 2006. Upon arrival firefighters found the fire extinguished by school staff, however smoke was reported in the building. The Fire Marshal’s investigation determined two Pocomoke Middle School students, a male and female 13 years of age were responsible for deliberately setting a fire in a boy’s bathroom. Both students have been charged with Arson, 1st Degree, Malicious Burning, 2nd Degree and Burning of a Trash Container.”
