THREE POCOMOKE CITY FAMILIES HOMLESS AFTER LATE EVENING FIRE

“The Worcester County Fire Marshal’s Office has investigated a residential structure fire located at 603 4th Street in Pocomoke City, Maryland.  The fire was located in a renovated house which was converted into three apartments.  The fire was reported at 11:02 PM on Saturday evening July 21, 2007 and did extensive damage to the structure.  A total of five residents occupied the three apartments, all of whom were home at the time of the fire.  No injuries were reported.  Firefighters from the Pocomoke Volunteer Fire Company responded and remained on the scene for two hours.  The fire originated between the second floor and attic apartments.  The cause of the fire is blamed on faulty wiring.  The structure is owned by Reverend Thomas Harmon of Temperance, Virginia.”
