Vacant Home Destroyed by Fire in Pocomoke City

The Worcester County Fire Marshal’s Office is investigating a fire which completely destroyed an unoccupied dwelling in Pocomoke City.  The 4:43 a.m. fire located at 101 Fourth Street, Pocomoke City, Maryland was brought under control by the Pocomoke Volunteer Fire Company by approximately 5:35 a.m.  Firefighters remained on the scene for approximately 3 hours.  No injuries were reported.

The dwelling involved in the fire is owned by Margaret George Ayres.  The dwelling was not occupied at the time of the fire.
