JUVENILES CHARGED IN KEYSER POINT ROAD HOUSE FIRE
The Worcester County Fire Marshal’s Office has completed its investigation on the cause of a fire which destroyed a vacant home on Keyser Point Road last Tuesday.
The fire took over 75 firefighters from Maryland and Delaware nearly 8 ½ hours to extinguish. Three firefighters were injured while fighting the fire and were treated for their injuries. The Ocean City Volunteer Fire Company also suffered severe damages to one of their fire engines while extinguishing the fire.
An intense neighborhood canvass resulted in identifying and charging three juveniles with setting the fire. Related criminal charges have been forwarded to the Department of Juvenile Justice for disciplinary actions. The juveniles were released to the custody of their parents.
