Vacant Residential Structure Fire in Bishopville

“The Worcester County Fire Marshal’s Office investigated a residential structure fire today, which was located at 9829 Hotel Road in Bishopville, Maryland. The Bishopville Volunteer Fire Department was dispatched to the 8:17 AM blaze and was reported as a vacant mobile home. Fire department crews arrived and found a 60’ x 14’ mobile home completely engulfed with fire. Access to the fire was difficult, due to an overgrown access road and heavy fog in the area. The trailer was completely destroyed by fire and was brought under control in about one hour. Selbyville and Frankford, Delaware Fire Companies also responded to assist with extinguishment.

The Fire Marshal’s Office is requesting anyone with any information regarding the fire to call 410-632-5666.

The fire has been listed as undetermined and the investigation is continuing.”
